It takes a special person to step up and volunteer. No matter the job, volunteering to help others has many rewards.
With each passing year, the number of calls the Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad runs has steadily grown. The number of hours spent in training, or the number of hours spent running duty to make sure our first due is covered, has also increased. The cost of EVERYTHING continues to increase, and yet the money never easily does. It was time to look for a special group of volunteers that wanted to help out the rescue squad, in a different way than on the ambulance.
The Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary was started in November of 2011. This group has been started for the purpose of supporting and fundraising for the Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad. Our group meets on the fourth Monday of every month at 7pm at the squad building. Our job is to coordinate and plan fundraisers to raise money for the squad. We are always looking for more help! Contact any squad member for any application or you can print one out from the website and get it to us. Feel free to come and check us
We have a busy schedule of events planned. Keep your eyes peeled on the calendar of this website to check out all the events we have planned. Our biggest fundraising events are held in September, our annual Brown Bag Auction, and in October, our annual Cow Pie Bingo.
