On Saturday, December 14th, 2024, the Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad held its 75th Annual Installation of Officers.  It was held at the Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, with a delicious meal catered by the RVFD Auxiliary.  This year’s event proved to be very special for a few of our members, but especially for our organization as a whole. 75 years of service is a HUGE milestone, and it was made known throughout the evening, both by our membership and by the St. Mary’s County Commissioners.
 
Before our meal, the 2025 Executive, Operational, and Association Officers were installed by Southern Maryland Volunteer Firefighters Association Past President Philip “Heavy” Ridgell.

The Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad Association provided a check to the Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad in the amount of $30,049.00 this year!  These funds are earmarked for the purchase of a new electronic sign for the front of the building.  Thank you!
